From early August there will be a new addition to the gastro pub map, when The Oak at Hockley Heath opens its' doors to customers. Executive Chef Hash Chavda and Operations Manager Tony Day have moved on from The Red Lion in Claverdon and The Cross in Kenilworth, to join forces to form The Chilli Pub Company. Their first project together will see them transform the four acre former Royal Oak site at Hockley Heath into a 120 seat restaurant, a bar and function room.

This site, on the leafy Birmingham/Warwickshire border, has seen many incarnations over the past few years, but the pair wanted to create a new and exciting dining experience for food lovers from all over the region. The extensive menu features an eclectic mix of modern European cuisine.

Hash says, "the emphasis is on fine food to suit the casual diner. You can try a great range of speciality seafood from the a la carte menu, have a casual light lunch of tapas or pop in for cakes and coffee. All the while, maintaining our reputation as creators of tasty dishes using the very best local ingredients."
