| London Indian Film Festival, 20th June - 3rd July 2012 | ||
 The
third annual London Indian Film Festival will run from 20th June –
3rd July 2012 bringing to UK audiences a selection of cutting edge
films from some of India’s and the UK’s hottest independent
talents. It will open with Mumbai cult Director Anurag Kashyap’s
‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ which is a revenge story set in the
socio-political milieu of Bihar.

has announced that it is opening an office in Mumbai, India, to be
headed by Parminder Vir OBE (pictured left). According to the
Global Media and Entertainment Outlook by Price Waterhouse Coopers
in July 2011, the Indian Media and Entertainment Industry is forecast
to reach $31.7 billion by 2015, growing at 13% per annum from 2011-2015.

Trishna, starring Freida Pinto, will be at Apollo Piccadilly, on Saturday
17th March alongside the annual short film competition.
