Akademi in collaboration
with The Place presents the 'Looking for the Invisible'-
The 'Abstract' in South Asian Arts symposium on
Saturday 25th February 2012 in London. Featuring
Sheba ChhaChhi, Shobana Jeyasingh, Sadanand Menon,
Anita Ratnam, Sonia Sabri, Alaknanda Samarth,
Anusha Subramanyam, Gautam Malkani (author of

their work through informal conversations with

a personal journey of artistic/creative discovery.
This event promises to be an uplifting and inspiring
afternoon for all curious creators, thinkers,
artists and audiences.

South Asianness (ICA), and Frame by Frame
A Symposium on the Dance of Indian Cinema and
its Transition into Bollywood Dancing (Royal Opera
House).
After the symposium delegates
are invited to attend the performance of Aakash
Odedras Rising in The PlaceTtheatre
at 8pm where he will perform solos choreographed
